How to add a Prelam Board to catalogue?
Updated over a week ago

To add a Prelam board to catalogue in the admin portal, follow these steps:

A. Cloning the Core Material of your intended prelam board

  1. Access the admin portal for your organization.

  2. Navigate to the "Catalogue" section. Under "Catalogue," you will find different categories, including "Hardware." Click on the Ply category therein.

  3. Navigate to the subcategory, group and SKU that you want to make the core material of your prelam board.

  4. Clone the core material SKU. To do so, please refer to the following link:

B. Revise thickness of prelam board

  1. Now, the cloned SKU is added to your group. Select Edit SKU against the same, and select Edit SKU Properties.

  2. In the window that opens, under Properties tab, navigate to Product dimensions and check the 'Thickness' field.

  3. The thickness value will represent the TOTAL thickness of the prelam (external finish+ core material + internal finish). E.g., if you are linking external and internal finishes of 1 mm each, to a core material of 16 mm, the thickness value to be specified is 1+16+1, that is, 18.

  4. Specify the intended thickness into the 'Thickness' field.

C. Change board type to prelam

  1. Next, while still remaining in the Properties tab, navigate to and open 'Additional Properties' header.

  2. Under Default Properties, specify the Key field value as 'Lamination Type', and the Value field value as 'Prelam Both'.

  3. Select 'Update Details' to save the changes.

D. Link the external and internal finishes

  1. Next, navigate to the 'Linked SKUs' tab.

  2. For the first finish, specify the Division, Category, Subcategory, Group and SKU of the internal or external finish you want to link, and set the Type as either 'External Finish' or 'Internal Finish'.

  3. To link the next finish, select Add and specify the Division, Category, Subcategory, Group and SKU of the second finish you want to link. Set the Type as either 'External Finish' or 'Internal Finish', depending on what the first finish is NOT.

  4. Select Update Linked SKU to save the changes.

  5. Close the SKU Properties window. The prelam material will be added to the cataog

By following these steps, you can effectively add a new prelam board material to your catalog, making it accessible to designers working on your projects. This allows for better catalog organization and design customization.
