Modifying Back Panel Core Material
Steps to Modify Back Panel Core Material:
Select the SKU:
Open the SKU you want to modify in your admin portal.
Ensure the SKU is an owned cabinet to open the SKU structure.
Select the particular SKU and click on Edit SKU structure.
Navigate to Back Panel Material:
Click on the back panel in the component editor view.
Go to the Material section.
You will see an option for Back Panel Core Material.
Inherit from Carcass:
If you want the back panel to have the same material as the carcass, select Inherit from Carcass.
For example, if the carcass core material is 16mm BWR, the back panel will also be 16mm BWR.
Select a Specific Material:
If you want the back panel to be of a different material, select Self.
This will open a carousel where you can choose the type of material.
For example, select 13mm BWR material to apply it to the back panel.
Link to a Specific Material:
To link the core material to a specific back panel core material, you need to configure it in the admin section.
Go to Admin > Hardware Section.
In your catalogue, navigate to the Ply section.
Select a material (e.g., 18mm BWR) and click on Edit SKU Properties.
Use the Link SKU option to link a specific SKU as the back panel core material.
For example, link 13mm BWR material as the back panel core material.
Update the SKU.
Verify Linked Material:
Every time the linked core material is used, the back panel will default to the specified linked material (e.g., 13mm BWR).
Finish Thickness Calculation:
The finished thickness of the back panel is the sum of:
Thickness of the core material (e.g., 13mm BWR).
Thickness of the internal finish.
Thickness of the external finish.
Steps to Bulk Edit Core Material for Back Panels:
Open Admin Portal:
Navigate to the
Cataloguesection under furniture.
Select Multiple SKUs:
Select the entire group of SKUs you want to modify by checking the boxes next to the group names.
You can select multiple groups if required.
Initiate Bulk Action:
Click on
Bulk Actionand selectBulk Edit SKU Structure.Confirm the selections you have made in the preview shown.
Proceed to Bulk Editing:
Navigate to the
Panelsection.Add a panel and select the panel name as
Carcass Back Panel.
Select Core Material:
Go to the
Materialsection where you will find theCore Panel SKU ID.Click to select the core material you want for the back panel.
Add SKU and choose the category, typically
Ply.
Choose Subcategory:
From the subcategories of your SKU, select the appropriate one.
For example, select the particular SKU that represents the core material you desire.
Submit Changes:
After selecting the appropriate SKU, submit it.
Confirm and Publish:
Review the changes in the confirmation section.
Proceed to publish the changes and exit.
Verify Changes:
Any cabinets that were part of the bulk edit will now have the back panel material updated to the selected core material.
By following these steps, you can ensure that the back panel core material is set according to your specific requirements, whether it inherits from the carcass, is set individually, or is linked to a specific material in your catalogue.
