When enabling cabinets for manufacturing in Infurnia, it's crucial to ensure that the CNC axis orientation aligns with your machine's requirements. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to adjust these settings:

Accessing NC Mode in Board Layout

  1. Enable Cabinets for Manufacturing:

    • Ensure your cabinets are enabled for manufacturing in the modular unit section.

  2. Navigate to Outputs:

    • Go to the Outputs section and select Board Layout.

  3. Check NC Mode:

    • In the NC mode, observe the X, Y, and Z axes for each panel.

    • Verify if the axis orientation matches your CNC machine’s requirements.

Adjusting Axis Orientation

If the axis orientation needs adjustment:

  1. Access CNC Settings:

    • Go to the CNC option in the outputs menu.

  2. Modify CAM Settings:

    • Select CAM Settings and then KDT (.NC) under the settings section.

  3. Adjust X Axis Orientation:

    • In the General tab, find the X Axis Dimension option.

    • Choose between Along Length or Along Width based on your requirement.

      • For example, selecting Along Length will set the X-axis along the panel's length.

  4. Apply Changes:

    • Apply the changes and go back to the Board Layout to see the updated X-axis orientation.

Adjusting Axis Direction

You can also modify the direction of the Y and Z axes:

  1. Y and Z Orientation:

    • In the CAM Settings under General, locate X Orientation, Y Orientation, and Z Orientation.

    • Change the Y Orientation to Positive if it was previously Negative, and vice versa.

  2. Apply Changes:

    • Apply the settings and check the Board Layout again to see the changes in axis direction.

Admin Portal Settings

The CNC axis settings can also be managed through the Admin Portal:

  1. Access Preferences:

    • Go to the Preferences section in the Admin Portal.

  2. Navigate to CAM Settings:

    • In the Settings section, select CAM.

  3. Default Axis Settings:

    • Set the default axis orientations here.

    • These settings will be the default for any new board layout.

  4. Refresh Settings:

    • At any point, you can refresh the settings from the admin portal to apply the default settings to your current session.

By following these steps, you can ensure that the CNC axis orientation is correctly configured for your machine, leading to accurate and efficient manufacturing processes.
