How to enable a modular unit for manufacturing in MES Portal?
Updated over a week ago

Once you have checked and verified all your modular units, follow these steps to enable them for manufacturing in your MES portal:

  1. Review Non-Enabled Units:

    • In the work order section, you can see the number of non-enabled units and enabled units. Initially, there may be 26 non-enabled units and zero enabled units.

  2. Enable Units for Manufacturing:

    • Click on the "Enable Units for Manufacturing" option. This will open a list of units that are part of the design.

  3. Select Units to Enable:

    • In the "Enable Units for Manufacturing" section, you will see a list of verified units that are automatically selected.

    • Below, you can see unverified units as well. Although ideally, units should be verified before moving to manufacturing, you have the option to select unverified units if necessary.

    • You can review the total number of units and panels in both the verified and unverified sections. For example, you may see that in the verified section, there are 2 units and 16 panels selected, while in the unverified section, there are 24 units and 198 panels, with a subset selected.

  4. Bulk Select Units:

    • You can bulk select all units and panels by clicking the select option in the relevant area. This helps if you need to enable multiple units and panels at once.

  5. Confirm Selection and Enable:

    • Once you have selected the units and panels, ensure that everything is verified and checked thoroughly.

    • Click on the "Enable" button to enable the selected units for manufacturing. Confirm that the selection has been successfully enabled.

  6. Verify Enabled Units:

    • After enabling, check the updated status of the project. You should see the number of enabled units increase. For instance, you may now have 3 enabled units for manufacturing and 23 not enabled ones.

Important Note:

  • Verifying a unit is not the same as enabling it for manufacturing. You will be billed at a per panel level only when you enable a modular unit for manufacturing. Ensure all units are thoroughly checked and verified before enabling them to avoid unnecessary billing.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage the transition of your modular units from verification to manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in your project workflow.
