Layer Properties in Free View vs Open Views

Updated over a week ago

Editing Layer properties in Free View

Any changes made to layers while the Free View is active, will reflect across all the open views as well.

Editing Layer properties in any Open View

Any changes made to layers while a particular created view is active, will take precedence in terms of visibility, and override any changes made in the Free View mode.

To check which layer's properties are overridden in a particular view,

  1. Open that particular view, and open the Layer Sets panel in the Global Preferences and Settings bar.

  2. In the list of layers that opens, the row(s) highlighted in yellow, contain the overridden layer(s).

To reset the overridden layer properties in a particular view,

  1. Open that particular view, and open the Layer Sets panel in the Global Preferences and Settings bar.

  2. In the list of layers that opens, select the maximize icon at the top right of the panel.

  3. In the Layer Manager window that opens, navigate to the row containing the layer whose properties you wish to reset, (if they are really overridden the row would be highlighted in yellow), and go to the Overridden Layers column against that row.

  4. Therein, select the Reset to Default option in that row.

  5. Close the Layer Manager window
