How to manage layers and layer sets?

Understanding layer settings in Infurnia

To access the layer settings, go to the Global Preferences and Settings bar in the bottom left, and click on the Layer Sets icon. A Layersets panel will open on the left.

Layers

Adding new layer

In the Layersets panel on the left, select +Add Layer. In the popup that opens, enter the desired name, line color and thickness for your new layer into the corresponding fields, and select Create.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon against the Active layer set drop-down menu, and select Define. In the popup that opens, select New Layer. Then, in the following popup, enter the desired name, line color and thickness for your new layer into the corresponding fields, and select Create.

Hiding/unhiding layers

In the Layersets panel on the left, go to the list of layers therein and click on the eye icon against the desired layer name to hide its contents. To unhide it, click on the eye icon again.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon against the Active layer set drop-down menu, and select Define. In the popup that opens, go to the list of layers therein and click on the eye icon against the desired layer name to hide its contents. To unhide it, click on the eye icon again.

Edit layer properties

Click on the settings icon against the Active layer set drop-down menu, and select Define. In the popup that opens, go to the list of layers therein and enter the line color and line thickness, respectively into the Line Color and Line Thickness fields against the layer name.

View default and user-created layers

Click on the settings icon against the Active layer set drop-down menu, and select Define. In the popup that opens, select View all layers. In the following popup, to view and edit the default layers, click on the System Layers tab. To view and edit the layers created by the user, click on the user Created tab.

Layer sets

A layer set is a set containing all the layers used on Infurnia. Each layer herein pertains to a different category such as doors, windows, walls etc. You can create one or more layer sets. Although the layers and their contents are identical across all the layer sets created, you can change the visibility and presentation of those layers to differ across these layer sets.

Creating new layer set

In the Layersets panel on the left, click on the drop-down menu under Active layer set and select +Create new layer set. In the popup that opens, enter the desired name for your new layer set into the field, and select Create. A duplicate layer set will be formed, whose layers you can edit to differ from the original's.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon against the drop-down menu, and select Define. In the popup that opens, select New Layer Set. Then, in the following popup, enter the desired name for the layer set into the field, and select Create.

Renaming active layer set

In the Layersets panel on the left, click on the drop-down menu under Active layer set and click on the desired layer set to make it active. Then, click on the settings icon against the drop-down menu, and select Rename. In the popup that opens, enter the desired name for the layer set into the field, and select Rename.

Cloning layer set

In the Layersets panel on the left, click on the drop-down menu under Active layer set and hover over the desired layer set's name. Click on the copy icon against the name. In the popup that opens, enter the desired name for your new layer set into the field, and select Copy. A duplicate layer set will be formed.

Switch to different layer set

In the Layersets panel on the left, click on the drop-down menu under Active layer set and click on the desired layer set name.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon against the drop-down menu, and select Define. In the popup that opens, click on the desired layer set name on the left.

Deleting layer set

In the Layersets panel on the left, click on the drop-down menu under Active layer set and hover over the desired layer set's name. Click on the bin icon against the name. The layer set will be deleted.
