Adjusting Board Dimensions in Board Layouts
Step-by-Step Guide
Generate Board Layout:
Navigate to the Outputs section on the left-hand side.
Select Board Layout to generate the board layout.
Open Settings:
On the top right corner of your screen, click on the Settings option.
Specify Global Board Dimensions:
In the settings menu, you can specify the board dimensions globally for all the boards in your design.
Enter the new dimensions. For example, change the board dimensions to 3000mm x 1500mm.
Click Regenerate Board Layout to apply the new global dimensions.
Specify Different Dimensions for Each Board:
If you need different dimensions for each board, select the option to specify dimensions for individual boards.
For each board type in your design, enter the specific dimensions required.
Regenerate the board layout for the changes to take effect.
Verify Changes:
Once the board layout is regenerated, verify the changes.
If the new dimensions allow, fewer sheets may be required. For example, two sheets might be consolidated into one.
By following these steps, you can adjust the board dimensions globally or individually for each board type in your design, ensuring optimal material utilization and efficiency.
