Adjusting Saw Width in Board Layouts

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Generate Board Layout:

    • Navigate to the Outputs section on the left-hand side.

    • Select Board Layout to generate the board layout.

  2. Understand Saw Width:

    • Zoom in on the board layout to see the gaps between two panels.

    • These gaps account for the space required by the saw blade thickness.

  3. Adjust Saw Width:

    • Click on the Settings option.

    • Look for the Saw Width setting, which is set to 4mm by default.

    • Change the saw width as needed. For example, set it to 10mm.

    • Regenerate the board layout to apply the new saw width setting.

  4. Verify Saw Width:

    • After regeneration, zoom in on the board layout again to verify the new saw width.

    • Ensure the saw width is accurately reflected and that there is no reduction in the actual cutting size of the panels.

By following these steps, you can ensure that the saw width is properly accounted for in your board layout, preventing any reduction in the actual cutting size of the panels due to the thickness of the saw blade.
