Open vs Closed views

Open views are those added views that appear alongside the Free View tab in the Bottom Navigation bar.

Closed views are those that are not present in the Bottom Navigation bar; however, they are still in the View manager, which means they have not been deleted, only temporarily hidden. Closing views help free up the space at the bottom of the workspace, for better access to the actual design.

To close a view, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Bottom Navigation Bar and select the tab of the desired view.

  2. Either select the 'x' icon or Select the settings icon against the view, and select Close View in the list that opens.

  3. This will remove your view's tab from the Bottom Navigation bar.

To reopen a view, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Bottom Navigation Bar and select the View Manager icon.

  2. In the list that opens navigate to the type of view (3D, Plan, Elevation etc) and hover over it to open a nested list of views belonging to that category.

  3. In the nested list, select the name of the view you wish to reopen

  4. This will re-add your view's tab back to the Bottom Navigation bar.
