How to use curved edges to create a shape

Updated over a week ago

Other than straight edges, you can also create curved edges using three different modes. These curved edges are always static.

Arc by Bending

To create an arc by bending, first click on the “Draw arc by bending a straight edge” icon in the quick tools menu. This works exactly like creating curved walls using arc bending.

First create a straight edge between two points, then move your mouse away from the edge to create a curve. The arc will keep on adjusting as you move your mouse in different directions. Click once to finalize the edge.

Arc around a center

This mode works exactly like creating curved walls using arc around a center. First, click on the “Draw arc around a center” icon in the quick tools menu.

Now, you can mark the center of the circle from which you want to cut the arc. Once you click to mark the center of the circle, move your mouse away from the point. A line starts forming indicating the radius of the circle. Click once you’ve reached the required starting point of the edge. Then move your mouse, an arc will start forming along the circumference of the circle. Click to mark the end point of the edge.

Arc along tangent

This mode works exactly like creating curved walls using arc along a tangent. First, click on the “Draw arc tangential to an existing edge” icon in the quick tools menu.

Now, click on the pre-existing open edge corner from where you want to start the curved edge. When you move your mouse away from this corner, a line will start forming such that the tangent to its arc is along the pre-existing edge(if pre-existing edge is straight) or along the tangent to the pre-existing edge at the corner (if pre-existing edge is curved). Click once the required edge is created.
