How to create an office workstation unit?

To create an office workstation, follow these steps:

  1. Add a base unit to act as the base

    Click on the Insert tab, and click on the Furnish icon in the ribbon. In the lefthand panel that opens, click on the All drop-down menu, and click on Base Unit. A carousel of units belonging to that category, will open at the bottom. Select the desired unit by clicking once on the corresponding thumbnail image. The item you selected now appears along with the cursor for you to place in the design.

  2. Extending the top ply

    Before extending the top ply, first change the construction of the cabinet such that the top ply overlaps the edge of the side panel. Select the Cabinet, and select the Construction icon at the top of the panel. Then, open the Carcass dropdown menu, and therein open the Construction dropdown menu. Therein, open the (Left or Right)/Top Edge dropdown, and select Change to Top on (Left or Right) depending on which side of the cabinet.

    Next, to extend the top panel on a cabinet, first click on the desired panel to select it. Select the Panel tab in the lefthand panel, and select the Construction icon at the top of the panel.

    Then, select the Extension Parameters drop-down menu, and to extend the panel leftwards or rightwards, select the Width Extension dropdown menu. and enter the desired extension length into the Left field(to extend the left edge of the panel) or Right field(to extend the Right edge of the panel).

  3. Add Custom Panels

    1. Custom panels can be added as screens or supporting legs

    2. Adding Custom Panels: Navigate to the Cabinet section in the lefthand panel, open Construction tab, and select 'Add Custom Panel'. Select the appropriate panel depending on what part of the workstation you wish to create.

    3. Change the Dimensions and Position/Rotation of the panel

    4. For panels acting as screens, you can even change its design via the Shutter Design option. Select the panel, go to the left panel, and onto Panel tab<Shutter Design<Normal type, and select another design.
