Creating T pattis using divisional shutter method

Updated over a week ago

NOTE: These steps are valid for design-only purposes, not for generating any accurate BOQs, pricing or manufacturing outputs.

To create a T patti at the edge of a shutter, follow these steps:

  1. Adding shutter divisions:

    1. Select the unit shutter desired, click on the Shutter tab in the lefthand panel.

    2. Click on the Construction icon on top, and open the Divisional Shutters dropdown.

    3. Select 'Add Horizontal Divisional Shutter' or 'Add Vertical Divisional Shutter' depending on what kind of divisions you need.

    4. The shutter will now be divided into 2 panels, one of which needs to be narrowed to create the strip

  2. Creating the T patti strip via Divisional Shutter Ratio:

    1. Select the unit shutter desired, click on the Shutter tab in the lefthand panel.

    2. Click on the Construction icon on top, and open the Divisional Shutter Ratio dropdown.

    3. Enter the desired ratio terms against each panel field according to the width of the shutter, and the desired T-patti width. For example, if you wish to convert Panel 2 to a 20 mm wide T-patti, and the total Shutter width is 480 mm, then enter the value "480/20", i.e., 24, into Panel 1 field, and enter "1" into Panel 2 field.

    4. The T patti will be at the edge of the shutter

  3. Assign a Material to the T-patti

To create a T patti in the middle of a shutter, follow these steps:

    4. To add another of the same type, select 'Add Horizontal/Vertical Divisional Shutter' again.

    5. The shutter will now be divided into 3 panels, the middle one of which needs to be narrowed to create the strip

For example, if you wish to convert Panel 2 to a 20 mm wide T-patti, and the total Shutter width is 480 mm, then enter "1" into Panel 2 field.

The value "480/20", i.e., 24 parts, can be distributed among Panel 1 and Panel 3. For example, for equal widths, this can be "12" and "12" respectively. For unequal widths, the values can be "8" and "16", "10" and "14", etc.

    4. The T patti will be placed within the shutter

  3. Assign a Material to the T-patti
