How to add Cabinet Shutter to the catalogue?

To add a new shutter to your catalog in the admin portal, follow these steps:

  1. Access the admin portal for your organization.

  2. Navigate to the "Catalogue" section.

  3. Under "Catalogue," you will find different categories, including "Hardware." Click on the "Hardware" and the 'Cabinet Shutter'.

  4. If you want to add the shutter to an existing subcategory, go to that subcategory and proceed to the next step. If you need to create a new subcategory, click on "Add Subcategory." Provide a name for the subcategory, set its order (the order in which it will be displayed in your catalog), and click "Submit."

  5. Inside the subcategory, click on "Add Group" to create a new finish group. Name the group. Set the order for the group and click "Add."

  6. Once the group is created, you can further specify a particular SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) within that group. Click on "Add SKU."

  7. Set SKU type to '3D Model'. Provide a name and description for the SKU.

  8. Under Placement, specify the surface to which to wish the SKU to be automatically placed in the design (in this case, select Base).

  9. You can upload a thumbnail image by selecting the Select File option button under 'Update Display Image'.

  10. To upload the object itself, select the Upload 3D Model button. In the next window, upload the corresponding 3D model (.obj, .blend, .glb or .skp format) and material file (.mtl format)

  11. Click "Submit."

  12. Now, the SKU is added to your group.

  13. Open Edit SKU Structure for the same, to open the model in Component Editor Portal. There, ensure it is aligned with the origin, so that it later aligns with the cabinet it gets loaded into.

  14. Save your changes in the Component Editor Portal.
