How to add loose furniture to the Infurnia catalogue in skp, .glb, .blend, .obj or 3ds format

Updated over a week ago

To add a new object to your catalog in the admin portal, follow these steps:

  1. Access the admin portal for your organization.

  2. Navigate to the "Catalogue" section.

  3. Under "Catalogue," you will find different categories, including "Furniture." Click on the "Furniture" category where you want to add the new furniture.

  4. If you want to add the object to an existing subcategory, go to that subcategory and proceed to the next step. If you need to create a new subcategory, click on "Add Subcategory." Provide a name for the subcategory, set its order (the order in which it will be displayed in your catalog), and click "Submit."

  5. Inside the subcategory, click on "Add Group" to create a new finish group. Name the group (e.g., "German Silver Chair"). Set the order for the group and click "Add."

  6. Once the group is created, you can further specify a particular SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) within that group. Click on "Add SKU."

  7. From SKU Type dropdown menu, select 3D Model.

  8. Provide a name and description for the SKU.

  9. You can mention the product brand, or any other relevant information. Under Placement, specify the surface to which to wish the SKU to be automatically placed in the design (Base, Wall, etc).

  10. You can upload a thumbnail image by selecting the Select File option button under 'Update Display Image'.

  11. To upload the object itself, select the Upload 3D Model button. In the next window, upload the corresponding 3D model (.obj, .blend or .glb format) and material file (.mtl format)

  12. Click "Submit."

  13. Now, the SKU is added to your group. You can manage various properties related to this SKU, including pricing. Set prices and configure default sales channels, or add more sales channels as needed.

  14. Save your changes.

By following these steps, you can effectively add a new object to your catalog, making it accessible to designers working on your projects. This allows for better catalog organization and design customization.
