What is a Location Line?

As you draw a wall, that wall forms with a blue line as its axis. This is called a location line, and it determines the side from which the wall's thickness starts from.

Switching between location lines

To choose the location line (left edge, right edge, or centerline) of a wall in Infurnia, you can use either of the following methods:

  1. Using Preferences Panel:

    • While in the wall creation mode, click on the "Advanced (Mode, Offset)" dropdown menu. This can typically be found in the wall creation tools or properties panel.

    • In the "Modes" section, you will see a "Location Line" dropdown menu. Select one of the options from this menu. You can choose between "Left Edge," "Right Edge," or "Centerline."

  2. Using Spacebar:

    • As you draw a wall and it forms in your design, you can press the spacebar repeatedly to toggle between the different location lines of the wall. Pressing the spacebar will switch between "Left Edge," "Right Edge," and "Centerline" of the wall.

Using either of these methods, you can easily specify the location line of the wall according to your design and layout requirements.
