Adding and customizing railing repeaters

To edit existing repeaters

To start editing, click on the the railing whose repeaters you wish to edit. In the properties panel that opens on the left, click on the Repeaters drop-down menu. Next, click on the Repeater 1 drop-down menu. Here, the existing identical repeaters present in the railing fall under the Repeater 1 type.

Edit Repeater Dimension

Go to the Dimensions menu in the Repeater 1 drop-down menu. To enter a custom value, first go to the drop-down menus in the Width and Depth fields and switch from Auto to Custom for both. Then, enter the required values in the corresponding Value fields.

Edit Repeater Placement

Go to the Placement menu in the Repeater 1 drop-down.

To extend the repeaters' top ends above the top rail, ensure the Repeater Top drop-down menu to be set to Top Rail. Then enter the required extension value into the Top Offset Vertical field. Conversely, to shorten the repeaters from the top rail, type in the negative value of the desired distance into the Top Offset Vertical field.

To shorten the repeaters' bottom ends away from the base, ensure the Repeater Base drop-down menu to be set to Bottom. Then enter the required extension value into the Base Offset Vertical field. Conversely, to extend the repeaters' base ends to continue further down from the baseline, type in the negative value of the desired extension distance into the Base Offset Vertical field.

To offset repeaters outwardly from the railing path, type in the required offset value into the Lateral Offset field. To offset the repeaters inwards, type in the negative of the required value.

Edit Repeater Gaps

To change the number of self repeats, enter in the desired number into the No. of self repeats field.

To change the distance between self repeats, enter the desired distance into the Gap from previous field.

To change the distance between repeater elements, enter the desired distance into the Self repeat gap field.

Change Repeater Model

Click on the Change Model option in the Repeater 1 drop-down. A carousel will open from which you can pick the desired sub-category and model therein by clicking on it once.

Adding Start, End and Corner Repeaters

In the Repeaters drop-down menu, go to the Add Repeaters menu.

To add a repeater at the beginning of the railing path, click on the Start Repeater option to open a carousel of models to select from. Click on the desired model to load.

To add a repeater at the end of the railing path, click on the End Repeater option to open a carousel of models to select from. Click on the desired model to load.

To add repeaters at all other corners of the railing path, click on the Corner Repeater option to open a carousel of models to select from. Click on the desired model to load.

Adding and Editing a Second Type of Repeater

To add a second type of repeating element to be repeated along the railing path, , click on the Repeater 2 option to open a carousel of models to select from. Click on the desired model to load.

To edit Repeater 2's repeaters, select the Repeater 2 drop-down menu and follow the same instructions as applies to editing Repeater 1.
