Materials and Edge Band Restructure
Materials and Edge Band Restructure
Updated over 2 months ago

In this release, the arrangement of cabinet and panel materials has been restructured for a simplified understanding of material options and improved usability.

Previous Structure:

• Materials were grouped by Carcass and Shutter Materials.

New Structure:

• Materials are now organized into three categories: Finishes, Core, and Edge Bands.

This new structure simplifies material options across cabinet and panels.

Here's a breakdown of the update:

Cabinet and Panel Materials

1. Selecting Cabinet Materials

You can now select materials based on specific categories:

Finishes:

  • Shutter (External & Internal Finishes)

  • Carcass (External & Internal Finishes)

Core Materials:

  • Shutter Core Material

  • Carcass Core Material

  • Back Panel Core Material

The back panel core material can be derived from SKUs linked to the Carcass Core material in the catalog.

Edge Bands:

  • Shutter (Visible and Invisible edges)

  • Carcass (Visible and Invisible edges)

2. Identifying Panels with particular Finishes, Core Materials and Edgebands

A new info button ("i" ) lets you view panels' details and their associated finishes, core materials, or edge bands.

• Use it to check which panels have specific finishes, cores, or edge bands.

• Identify panels with no edge bands easily.

3. Panel-Level Material Management

At the panel level, you can now define material options to be selected from the cabinet-level or customize it as needed.

  • By default, panel material options are selected from the cabinet-level options.

  • You can override options for specific panels.

  • Additionally, the external and internal sides of the panels are indicated on the panel graphically.

4. Simplified Edge Band Management

Graphical Edge Display:

  • The interface shows a visual representation of the panel.

  • Each edge (e.g., right edge) is clearly labeled, making it easy to see the applied edge band.

  • Customize edge bands by selecting:

-Among the existing options used in the cabinet (Shutter Visible, Carcass Invisible, etc.).

    -A custom edge band.

    -No edge band at all.

Custom Panels Materials

Custom panels contain four material options:

  • External Finish

  • Core Material

  • Internal Finish

  • Panel Visible Edge band

-Replace the default edge band for any edge by selecting a new custom edge band.

-Opt for no edge band if none is required for a specific edge.
